Freaking out a little

So all I've done for the past 2 months is work. Crazy hours. Where all I have time to do at home is sleep, shower, and leave again. I've done NO wedding planning in 2 months and all of a sudden the big day is less than 3 months away! I feel like I'm so far behind!
Just wanted to vent a little- I'm excited to be getting married soon but freaked out at the amount of work still to be done :-/

  • No worries. I took December and most of January off before my March wedding. Don't let much more time get away from you, though. Just make a list and prioritize and tackle things one step at a time.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I'm in the same boat. Just make a plan to let this next week be your "wedding planning week" and knock 50 things out at a time. Don't forget to include a much needed date night free from wedding planning though :) That should always be your first priority. :)

Good luck! You got this girlfriend.

You can't always just decide to designate an entire week to be your wedding planning week b/c other life things are also going on. Also, it's not realistic to "knock 50 things out at a time."

  • I went month and months without doing anything.    Unless you are have a quick wedding and not overloaded with DIY projects  I think it pretty normal.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

What do you have left to do? Is hiring a planner/coordinator an option?
  • I was the same way but it really isn't that bad. I've been trying to dedicate about an hour each day to little wedding stuff. Maybe that's not possible at the moment but hopefully work lets up soon. It'll get done.
