We have our first house guest..,

Unfortunately it is my uncle and he is staying tonight because he and his wife got in a fight and she threw him out. We live ten minutes away from them and since it is so late he is going to sleep on the couch tonight and get a hotel room tomorrow.

I felt a little bad when he first called because I was irritated he was asking. We just got the last of our stuff moved in and the place is a mess.

    I would be irritated too but I usually have a soft spot for family

    Some dear family friends did that for me when I was going through some hard times with my family. I don't believe in karma per se but I do believe that showing kindness, especially to family members, comes back around eventually.

    I feel a little guilty that my first reaction was irritated. I feel bad that he is going through some stuff with his wife and I told him he could stay a few days if he needed to but I think he would rather go to a hotel tomorrow. I probably wouldn't care if he wanted to stay at all if it wasn't for the unpacked boxes sitting every where.

    Aww that's really nice of you. You had a natural reaction, but you got over it and opened your home to your uncle which is awesome. Hopefully they work thugs out soon!

    At least you're there to help him. I get the unpacked boxes. I hate people being over and I have a couple dishes in the sink. Let alone unpacked boxes lol
