Re: WR: Did anyone else see this article?

  • Slightly tacky. IMHO, lemonade stands should be reserved for small children trying to raise money for school projects or whatever.

I'm gonna go with 'not my circus, not my monkeys.'
  • It's not too dissimilar from people getting a second job to help pay for a wedding... except for the supertacky awfulness of dancing around in bikinis to sell kool-aid. Love that the neighbors complained about them.

The comment about "Cambron says there's nothing she won't do to make sure she marries the love of her life later this year" was pretty annoying though... clearly if all you wanted to do was get married, you'd go to the JOP. That's not the issue, you want a giant party.

  • Sorry about the delay, IMHO it's tacky (obviously). It reminds me of the fund-raising parties that pop up on TK.

  • It's really annoying.  I hate this sense of entitlement where everyone feels like they should have their dream wedding... you do what you can afford and don't try to make me contribute to you dream wedding...

  • How much you want to bet there will be a cash bar at the wedding and a Honeyfund?

  • I love the fact that she's not making it easier on herself, but easier on her daddy. Because you know daddies are expected to pay for it all.

I suppose good for them for actually doing something as opposed to expecting to have it just handed to them but still, ick.

  • Well...it's not a go fund me account. So there's that. Of course she's shaking it in a bikini for cash. And while I have no problem with that, let's not all act like that isn't exactly why she's getting money. Ask strippers why they get their money, because they're great dancers or because they're scantily clad?

And I'm with @lolo83, if you want to get married, head down to the court house and get married. If you want a giant party, have a giant party. Just be honest about what you want.

And @JCbride2015 I cringed at that line. First, lots of women don't want to get married. That doesn't make them not women. And some of those women that do want to get married don't want big weddings. Second, a lot of women (and men) want to get married but can't because of the fucking laws. Not because they don't have enough money for big ass wedding. And no amount of ass shaking in a bikini will get them there (I know I've shaken my ass in a lot of bikinis).

I'm not sure how this makes her entitled. It's not like she said the world owes her a wedding.  She found a way to make money to pay for her wedding.  Yes, she may be referring to it as a donation but people are paying for a good they received.  She is in no way "making" anyone contribute to her wedding.
