Tipping question

Quick question, do you tip for hair/makeup trial and engagement photos? Or just the wedding day? I've read conflicting information from different sources and wanted to make sure I do the right thing when the day comes up in 2 weeks!

I tipped for my hair and makeup trials, but did not tip for engagement photos. We are going to tip our photographer once she is finished up with our wedding photos and albums.

As sister of a hair dresser you should definitely tip on something, especially if they work in a salon. That's where they make the majority of their money. If they are an independent contractor coming to you, I would still give something as many equate good service to how much the tip is.

I tipped on the trials, mainly because the trials were included on the CHEAP package I was able to find.  I wanted to thank them for their work.

I will. Both my MUA and Hair Stylists own their own businesses, but that won't stop me from tipping them. There's not really any difference for them just because I'm not going anywhere with my hair or makeup done.

Engagement photos I did not tip, I'm not tipping my photographer.

I didn't have engagement photos, but I always tip the ladies at the salon no matter what I'm having done.
