True story - bridezilla sister pressured her FI to get married because she really wanted to have a wedding. I was accused of "trying to ruin her wedding" when I started talking about how the marriage is more important and the typical trappings of a wedding are just icing to the commitment you are making.

Especially because all the brides on SYTTD give the same damn two-line spiel about how their fiance complements them perfectly and that is it. You're not getting any info on the relationships/future marriages.

This!! I HATE the "we compliment each other perfectly" crap.  I'm sure there are people who really believe that, but it's as cliche as "I've dreamed about this my whole life"

I can't stand that one because they all want "country chic" and all seem to have some weird southern princess superiority complex. The way Lori talks about southern bling makes me want to punch things. Although it's not a heck if a lot different than a lot if the Jersey girls.

(Note: of course that doesn't mean I actually turn either of them off. And just as they don't represent all brides, I know they don't represent all southerners or jersey girls.)

I'll admit its my guilty pleasure. V has his mind boggled every time that people will spend that much on a dress. Neither can I but some of those dresses are super pretty!

Every time a bride drops $10,000+ on that stupid fucking see-through Pnina gown because it's "So Original!!!!!!!!!!" (So original the exact same gown is purchased over and over again- honestly I think I see that stupid thing more than any other dress on the show) a small part of me dies. 

Also I get really annoyed when brides go into alterations, then freak out because they lost weight and the gown doesn't fit- Well DUH! Did you think the gown was going to shrink magically on its own?
