Hey brides! I just got engaged and I'm looking to plan my own wedding. I heard about the Wedding Salon's Miami bridal show that's happening on Monday at the Epic Hotel and I'm wondering if anybody is planning on going? I've never gone to any wedding or bridal shows before!

I have been to two Wedding Salons in NYC (I think it's all the same company).  It can be sort of overwhelming.  It's a good idea to go in targeted for what you need: this last time, I knew we needed a photographer, I ran into a guy with great reviews on my TK local board, and ended up booking him.  Bring one girlfriend with you, but don't go with an entourage.  It gets very crowded and a big group will get broken up fast.

Make a wedding email if you don't have one already-- you don't want the spam going to your personal email.

Nope! Not a vendor! Is cross posting not allowed? If not I'll delete some posts and only leave the one in my local board. i'm not really sure how this works! I'm new to this!

Cross posting on two boards is not uncommon.  More than that, especially 5, starts to look suspicious.  Also, when cross posting, please begin your title with XP so responders know not to respond to all posts.  For Miama specific information you will get the best responses if you use your local board.  For general opinions regarding bridal shows in general, Chit Chat is a good place to start.

Welcome, and congratulations.  For general bridal shows, some women bring those self adhesive return address labels, because you will find yourself filling out tons of cards asking for general information.  Don't be surprised if you "win" something.  The prize is often simply a way for a vendor to get his "foot in the door" and try to sell you additional services.  And, as JCbride suggests, start a separate email account for wedding related correspondence.
