Mother of the bride dress ?

http://www.dillards.com/product/London-Times-Asymmetrical-Halter-Dress_301_-1_301_504357000 I am the mother of the bride. The wedding colors are navy, gray and yellow. It is a fall wedding in Ohio. Would the dress above be appropriate? I am worried it is to springy.

I think it is fine.  I would get some sort of coverup in case it was cold, though.

I agree with doey. Maybe a darker colored pashmina (purple or royal blue?) would keep you warm and make the color less springy.

That style of dress just don't really strike me as very age-appropriate, but if you like it and feel comfortable then it's your choice. Do you think you'd wear the dress again somewhere else? A darker color would probably be nice.

I think it is way too springy for Ohio in October.

I think the dress is pretty and tasteful. I don't think it's not age appropriate at all. Whatever that's supposed to mean. I want my mom to wear something youthful on my wedding because she is far from being conservative and looks and feels much younger than she is. For me, it's a matter of personal style and apperance. She'd look out of place in a modest lace dress with sleeves. I wouldn't worry too much about the color unless your daughter really wants you to stick with the wedding colors. Would be boring if everyone dressed in the same color family just because of the season. If you think the color suits you, go for it! Of course a cover up as mentioned above might be helpful!

I am a young mother of the bride! My daughter loves it and said most of the other dresses were too old looking for me! The color is greet for me so I think I will get a wrap in a navy color and wear this. Thanks for the help.

I like the dress, but I wouldn't wear it in that color during fall or winter in Ohio. I think you can do better.
