Can't find my address/guest list. I'm about to have a heart attack.

Holy shit. I had my giant list with everyone's addresses. And I can't find it. I'm searching everywhere. I want to cry.

  • Uh-Oh!! Sending good vibes to help you find it!!

  • Paper list or computer file? If it's in Excel I can help you find where the temporary files are saved.

  • It was an Excel file on our laptop that's at home. I have FI searching. I could have sworn I had it saved as a google doc too.
  • Oh no!  Deep breaths and good luck  :(

  • OK go into Excel. Go to File > Options, then the Save tab. There should be a line for AutoRecover Save Location. Go to that file location; it should be there (or at least the last Auto-Recovered version, which saves every 10 minutes unless you changed it manually). Even if you hit close without saving, that Auto-Recover version will be there.

  • You have it somewhere!

I printed mine out as a checklist when I sent STDs. The checklist is still in the box with the leftovers- could you have a copy there as well? I think my mom has a draft as well.

    Good luck!

  • @lolo883 you saved the day!

@climbingbrideny so glad you found it!

  • Glad you found it!  Tech snafus are the reason I just did everything with good old fashioned paper and pencil.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I'm saving it everywhere. That was really effing scary!
  • I can't tell you how excited I was to find the Auto-Recover trick. I thought those only recovered when the program crashed, and deleted if you said not to save. That folder has saved my ass so many times now!

Back in college, I had this HUGE paper due, and it was in some crazy class that I should've never even taken (Philosophies of Ancient Government or something...not really helpful for my Educational Studies and Art degrees, but whatever).  Anyways, I finished it up, and it was BEAUTIFUL, and I was so freakin' proud of myself, because I barely understood the subject matter and had spent more time on it than I had on all my previous papers put together.  I was so terrified of something happening to it before turning it in, I printed off like, five copies and hid them around my dorm room, gave a few copies to friends to put in their rooms, emailed my parents, saved it on USB stick, ANYTHING I could think of.

    So nuerotic.

I'm SO terribe with technology so I have mine all written out on paper in a folder with my contracts hahahaha

Although I have every photograph since I was 17 years old on an external hard drive (thousands all in chronological folders). Photos are so important to me, I cringe when people post on FB about losing all their child's pics on their broken phone. Back that shit up!!
