I had my first fitting on Saturday and it went really well. The best news was the dress fits great and I don't need any alterations in bust or bodice at all! I just need a hem (because I am 5'4) and a bustle. Considering I am an H cup, the fact the top didn't need altered was a small miracle in my book. I still absolutely love my dress and cannot wait until my FI gets to see me in it.
Extra good news... My 3 bridesmaids also had their fittings the same day, and 2 of them do not need any alterations at all! The third girl only needs a hem and the straps taken in because she is short like me.
Finally, I just want to say a huge thank you to whoever posted a link to the site that showed pictures of all the different kinds of bustles. I was able to use one of the suggestions from the site with the seamstress, and my bustled dress looks a lot better because of it. So, THANK YOU!!!
