After the RSVP Deadline

Did you have to track down a lot of people after your RSVP deadline??

My RSVP deadline is next weekend and I'm a little worried that I've only gotten about 1/3 of the cards returned.  Is this normal?  I know I will have to track down some, but with a large wedding 2/3 would be a lot!  Just curious as to what everyone else experienced.

We had a few, but not a lot. Some people will wait until the deadline to put it in the mail.

I think we had most of the RSVP's come in during that last week and a few days after the deadline. We only had to call a few people.

I would have a list of who you haven't heard from and their contact info (like if you need to get phone numbers from other family members) so it's ready if you need it and you're not scrambling later.

We didn't have many to call.  

Just make sure that you wait a few days before you start calling.  A lot of people toss them in the mailbox on the RSVP date.

I'm hoping to get a lot back within in the next week - sounds like that is when I may get the majority.  I don't plan to call people until about a week after so that I get anyone has does send theirs in on the date.  Thanks for the advice ladies!

HALF of my guests did not rsvp.  I am wondering if these people want to be fed? It's almost all of FIs family. FI is a huge procrastinator at heart, so I will have a hard time tracking down these people, especially the ones I don't know.

We were also missing half of ours. It took a week to track everyone down.

We were missing about 25% of our RSVPs when the deadline rolled around. We only got 1 more in the mail after that, so we had a ton of phone calls to make.
