We bought a house!!!

So yesterday H and I closed on our very first home!!! We had some ups and downs during the process but over all it wasn't bad. It took a month and a half from when we made the offer to have the keys in hand! FIL was at the house waiting for us when we got there to start painting! Living room is done, kitchen and hallway needs some touch ups and our bedroom needs a 2nd coat, but not bad for the first day! We are renting a truck and moving everything on Saturday!!!

    Here is a few more of the outside (I took from the listing so these pictures were taken over the winter. In the next week or so I'll post some before and after of the inside!).

    More details though: it is a 3BR 1Bath 1955 Ranch with 1032 sq ft. Full unfinished basement that we can grow into in the future! Its up on a hill so gives us a really nice view from the back deck (which is huge and has access from both the kitchen and master BR. It is in a really cute neighborhood that is a circle so it helps keep it private but it is only 5 minutes to highway access! Dream location!

    Congrats! I hear you on the whole waiting to paint thing. We got the keys before the deal was official official. Our realtor told us not to go into the house until it was final. Of course, we didn't listen. We were in the house cleaning when we got the call that it was officially ours! The second I got off the phone, my husband took a hammer to a wall and started demoing.

    bubblegum1309 thanks for humoring me! I love looking at houses, I'm obsessed with hgtv. That sounds like a great neighborhood too! You should definitely post pictures of the inside.

    Looks like the blue table isn't happening, my dad has decided to gift us with his nice dining room table and I just wouldn't feel right painting that! I think I will just decorate with blue place mats etc instead!
