Remembering my grandfather idea help?

So I picked up these earrings on ebay to wear in my second holes for the wedding. My grandfather died a year and a half ago, and his favorite character was Tigger. When they arrived, I was very upset that they are dime-sized and way too large to wear as earrings. I though about pinning it to my bouquet so It would still be there. Any thoughts or other suggestions?

I also wanted to know what I should do with the other one? Give it to my grandma to wear? Or give it to my sister(BM) to do the same as me with it? My brother is going to be in the wedding too, so I wouldn't want to leave him out of it. What should I do? I know that memories at weddings are sort of depressing and I wanted to do something very small, just for our little family.

  • I think it's best that you've decided not to wear them as earrings. Even if they were smaller that might be a little more over the top than just "remembering him"

I would pin one to your bouquet and either give the other to your grandmother or pin it somewhere so that you have one on you for the reception as well... maybe pin it on the inside of your dress on your slip. Sometimes it's nice to have sentimental things, but not everyone needs to know. It might be nice to keep it to yourself and feel good knowing he's with you even if the whole world doesn't see the tiger pin on your wedding day.
  • I was also going to suggest putting one on your petticoat but then I thought that having a memory of your grandfather under your skirt maybe a little inappropriate.  Maybe even on your shoes or purse or at your place setting.  One just on your bouquet I think is a good idea.

  • I like the idea of pinning it to your bouquet or dress.  Depending on what kind of shoes you wear, you could also pin one or both somewhere on the shoe.  You could pin the 2nd one in your grandmother's corsage, if she is having one.
