Prayers for my MOH - update in comments

My poor MOH....ladies, T&P for her please! She had my youngest godson via csection about 6 weeks ago. Since that time, she's not healed well, the baby had to be hospitalized for jaundice, she had emergency gallbladder surgery, and has been in constant pain. She went back to the hospital two days ago - they did an ERCP and found a stone that they missed and a lot of infection, which great - she can get better now - BUT....in the process the surgeon perforated her stomach! Another possible surgery and days more in the hospital! These two can't catch a break. Between medical issues, problems at work, and other problems that keep getting thrown their way, she and her DH are struggling to hold it together. Please keep them in your T&P. sweetest people, and I hate to see them hurting like this.

AH! Prayers for her and her family. How horrible to be in that pain and medical situation, but with an infant who you just want to be home with and snuggling with.. That makes it that much worse!

Terrible! That poor girl! All good thoughts and prayers for her and the baby. What an awful ordeal.

 (And I know I've said it before, but perforated stomachs and all, I still thank God for modern medicine. 100 years ago, a full half of us wouldn't even be here. Well, not on here as on the internet, of course. I meant a full half of us wouldn't have survived.)

Probably no lawsuit. Gastric perforation is a known possible complication from an ERCP. Known risk and all....she's getting excellent care, but it's still hurry up and wait. I have all 3 boys right now - my hands are full!

I'm so sorry to hear about all the trauma your MOH and her family are going through.  I certainly hope that she and the child recover soon and can go home.  Thoughts and prayers from my family to hers.

I talked to her DH this morning - she's still not improving.  They can't keep her temperature or the infection under control - the antibiotics aren't working.  The pain meds aren't as effective as they have been.  She's developing pneumonia.  Since this started, this is the first time that I've been truly WORRIED. 

The plan is to move her to a room on a stepped up unit and await further surgery.  The thing that makes me the most upset is that her DH has basically been dealing with this on his own.  People from our PD have finally started to realize that, hey, this is serious, and maybe we should be there for our brother officer and his wife....5 days later.      Looks like, since the kids are with their aunt today, I'm heading up there when I get off work.

This is such a horrible situation! I really feel for your friend and her H. Being in the hospital is such a scary thing and having a new baby on top of that...I just can't even imagine all of the stress being put on them right now.

I'll be praying for them!
