Groom's shirt

Hi everyone, Hoping someone can help...I'll be accenting my dress with Alfred Angelo Marine Blue (and same color shoes) but we're having trouble finding the same color shirt for my fiance (who's wearing a tan suit with this color shirt, if we can locate!)...anyone have any suggestions on who might dye shirts or where we might be able to locate one? We've tried everywhere we can come up with - and I even engaged my wedding planner who hasn't yet found anything (other than one place who will dye the shirt for $79 for just the one piece - and that's just for the dye - not the shirt!) Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Gabrielle

I think you'll be better off not trying to match exactly... it's really unnecessary. Just find a blue that coordinates well and move on. I'm sure you have bigger things to worry about.

I agree.  There are tons of places that dye, but it's just going to end up being an additional expense and hassle.  You could always go a complimenting color, rather than blue.  I think a white shirt and blue tie with the tan suit should look great.  But that's just my opinion.

I think it will look prom-y if you do this. Could you go with a white shirt and buy the marine blue ties they have at men's warehouse?

ETA - I would change your user name to something other than your real name. Internet privacy and all - someone could find your wedding website in one quick google.

Appreciate the feedback, everyone...but he won't be wearing a tie - tan suit and shirt for this beach wedding...we'll probably just find one that's close to my blue.

Ahh, I see.  Good luck finding the shirt!

You might be better off just having the tan suit, and getting a blue pocket square.

That's a good idea. Dying things doesn't always turn out the way you hoped it would.
