Any other Pier Wisconsin brides here? Looking for "altar" ideas.

Just finished florist-apalooza (as I've been calling it all week) and saw 4 florists today. All of them had different ideas for what to do to create an "altar'-like focal point at Pier Wisconsin's Pilot House. Wondering if any other PW brides (or people who have been to weddings) have suggestions of what to do (or what NOT to do.) Looking for something simple, classy, elegant and does not block the view of the lake.

Thanks!

I was just in a wedding there in August. And I have to say... they set up the altar in front of a set of doors and something about it didn't look right. So, if you can somehow make them look nice - like put something on the door handles or something - I think it would much nicer. Here is what they did, I hope the photo's big enough.

i see what you mean... The room is so big, I don't tihnk we'll need the whole thing for ceremony seating so we can at least pull away from the doors so its not quite so prominent.

I am having my wedding there as well..I saw a ton of pics from previous weddings...and one that I saw and loved was something like this...The had pillars lining the aisles...in all different heights...on top of the pillars were satin (the color of the wedding) and on top of the pillard were candles of all different heights...it was very elegant and pretty....
