GQ's WOMAN OF THE YEAR?  What exactly did she do to deserve this?  Getting married?  I don't get it.     I'm thinking Kayne threw down a lot of dough somewhere for his wife to get this.

I've never read GQ so I don't know what their parameters are for "Woman of the Year" but I am shocked none-the-less that she could win such a thing.

This, along with stuff like People's "Most Beautiful" lists, are not voted on or "deserved" in any sense of the word. They are publicity stunts. An actor/actress/Kardashian who has a movie/album/need for attention coming out hires her publicist to blast the shit out of publications and "woo" the various magazines in exchange for exposure. The celebrity will sell her baby/wedding/nipple-slip photos to the magazine on an exclusive basis; they will arrange "on the street" paparazzi shots (conveniently wearing borrowed designer threads and bags) and sell them back to the magazine(s) of their choice.

It's just image management, and it's as artificial as Kimye's bewbs.
