I have no nice words.  

Migraine or not, we needed to make sure the house didn't burn down, so I was being tool gopher while on barbituates last night.

IT's working again now.

    If it goes down again - this time you hire an electrician to come in and fix that line of wiring...

    yup.  we can fix 90% of what goes wrong, but when it goes WAY wrong, it goes way wrong

    Something tells me in the grand scheme of disasters that your wiring is - it may be cheaper/safer for the long haul to just have an electrician in to rewire the whole works!

    I would burn the place down for the insurance money and start fresh somewhere else.  That's how much I hate wiring issues.
