Sick of Gofundme's

Sometimes I wonder if people even have a shred of pride or decency left. There has been a rash of gofundme's on FB lately. One couple in particular just make me want to shake them!

The girl's mom paid for most of their wedding, and yet they still had a gofundme for the rest of the wedding and honeymoon costs. Cash bar wedding with the whole fundraising Jack and Jill party aside from their three other wedding showers. The couple still live at home with the husband's father, and only the husband works (part time). Girl now has a baby not sired by the husband for which she also had gofundme's for hospital costs and the baby's medical care to treat AIDs. And today she posts another gofundme for organic diapers and doula training along with a huge rant about how her child will be drug / vaccine / medication free because of how terrible modern medicine is.

I just want to beat her and take that poor infant out of that home! Its bad enough when irresponsible people breed and leech off of others, but that baby certainly shouldn't have to suffer because of its shameless beggar parents who refuse to get it the proper medical care it needs.

I could sort of understand if you would stick with that belief, but this girl begs for $ and help for medical treatment for the baby while its in NICU for a serious case of thrush and undergoing AIDs meds. Then as soon an she gets the baby home suddenly all meds and vaccines are evil, and now baby is onlyallowed natural / organic homeopathic care.

The wishy washiness blows my mind!

Likewise confused and disgusted.  I really think there needs to be some government legislation regarding the necessity of vaccines.  I actually don't know whether there are contraindications when it comes to vaccines and HIV/AIDS positive children, but to say that they're wrong or unsuitable without explaining why is just irresponsible.  

I really hope that this child is rehomed to loving parents who give a shit about him or her and his or her long term well being.

I'm actually pleased to hear that.  I wasn't sure whether that was considered a crime in this country, or freedom of religion, expression, etc.

On a more serious note I'm curious, did the baby contract AIDS from mom? The same woman who is denying baby treatment? Is she receiving any sort of treatment? If she is and still wants to go the hippy dippy BS route she needs CPS called on her ass FASTER*!


*because any parent depriving their child of necessary treatment should have CPS called anyways.

What's awesome about the US is that people can't be forced to have medical treatments. What sucks about the US is that people can't be forced to have medical treatments.
