Favorite ways to de-stress?

Feeling lots of extra stress lately.  What's your favorite way to unwind?

I'm a big fan of a bubble bath, a glass of wine, and a good book. Usually I re-read an old favorite (and 99% of the time that means Harry Potter) to de-stress.

Sometimes, I'll blast music and dance the stress away Grey's Anatomy style.

I knit. There's something about repeatedly stabbing a piece of fabric that is very therapeutic. The same argument can be made for needlepoint.

Second for a glass of wine, or bottle of cider. I also watch/rewatch TV shows or movies to zone out, or have them on in the background while I clean to keep my brain from rehashing whatever it is that's stressing me or making me angry.

If I just need to relax, a glass of wine, a trashy book, and a bubble bath.

If I'm really stressed, a "me" day which includes: mani/pedi, massage, facial, and ends with a strong drink or two or three.

Then after I'm done being a drama queen, I'll probably go for a long run or workout really really hard and then come home and drink all the wine.

Our patio overlooks a lake, so I like to go out there, drink a beer, and listen to the water.

THIS.  I don't know that there is a better stress reliever.

Good new (happy) book, or an old favorite. I also like naps. I watch a soothing youtube video and just zonk out. When I wake up, things usually feel better.

I also stress eat. Usually something pasta/ cheese related. That's bad. Don't do that.

For me, the best stress relievers are sex, a mani/pedi, a cuddle session with DH, therapy, a phone date with BFF, watching mindless reality tv, reading a book (or, like @bethsmiles, rereading HP), or knitting.

oh yes! Sex and cuddles! Those too! And I also like to knit... but all I can do right now is knit a scarf. A sadly uncomplicated scarf.

Baths and hot tubs are my favorite things for relaxing. I might one up that and recommend smoking a joint in the bathtub.

That's just me though, haha.

Sex and bubble baths help. Depending on the type of stress, a really good workout helps too.

Depends on what I'm trying to de-stress from.

General de-stressing:

Wine

Bath

Reading trashy romance novels or fashion magazines

Baking

De-stressing about Mr. H's job:

Sending care packages

Writing him long letters

Yelling at everything related to war and government. (In my kitchen, so nobody can hear me)

De-stressing about school:

Crying

Sleep

Thanks for the feedback  Its a good general go-to list when nothing else seems to work! 

I ended up spending the weekend with my BFF and that helped immensely and today off from work is just a bonus!
