Is no one going to make a "Tuesday" post?

I'll kick it off, though I don't have anything amazing.
  • DS woke up at 3:45 wide awake and ready to play.  No.  He wouldn't sit quietly in his crib, he kicked up a fuss and we didn't want him to wake DD.  So we brought him in bed with us and he basically babbled and rolled around like a bear cub until I could get him to lie on me without trying to pull my nose off, and he finally fell asleep again.  I am tired.  So very tired.
  • Calling for storms here today, and I am a bad mom for hoping soccer practice will be canceled.  But I am.  See also "tired," above.

  • I already had an "Is it only Tuesday?" moment, which is bad, because I usually don't have those until later in the week.

Re: Is no one going to make a "Tuesday" post?

    • Back to work--less bad than I anticipated.  I am so dramatic inside my head.
    • Marathon went well, especially considering I trained for 8 weeks, not smart.  I might lose a toenail.
    • H and I had a great weekend, and I'm truly lucky that he wants to accompany me to these weekends for races.  Apparently it's weird that a spouse would do that.
    • Now I'm thinking about running another full in November as opposed to the half I'm signed up for.

  • Still in the office.  No Internet until Thursday. It's not so bad, but I'm too tired to do anything about the boxes that need to be unpacked or the shit that needs to be organized.

I'm currently scheduled to work Saturday and so is DH.  90% of our sitters are going to be on their way to FL or on their way home from FL, so I'm limited.  Trying to get a trade, but that's not going so well.  :(

Both kids are doing OK, but definitely having 'moments' with all this transition and change.  I can't wait to work back at home so I can put more focus on them and we can find our new routine.

I think we're finally going to put in our long delayed furniture order next Weds.  I cannot wait to get my new bed!  :)  I am glad we waited until we moved in to pull the trigger on anything because we've changed up what we think we're going to do for the 3rd (or 4th) time.

DH and I have both been weirdly cranky and 'off' with one another.  I'm hoping things settle soon.  I don't like that we're on slightly different pages.  I know it has to do with all the change and upheaval, but it's bothering me. Hopefully, we can chat tonight and get a little more in sync.
  • heffa - - you are not the only parent that wishes soccer games/baseball games/etc are cancelled.  No one seems to say it out loud, but I would venture to say that 80% of parents want games/practice to be cancelled.  (totally made up statistic based on nothing)   Coworker's daughters play volleyball - - she was telling me the pros and cons.  Pros: you don't have to sit out in the rain or snow to watch their games.  Cons: Games are never cancelled.

    • I did not sleep well last night.  No apparent reason, either.  Soooo sleepy today.  Looking forward to a nap.  Not going to get one.
    • I am so freaking behind in laundry and house work.  But I am ahead of schedule on DD's halloween costume (she's going to be Anna from Frozen.  She already has the dress, and I'm making a cape).  Priorities, I has them.
    • Work has been work lately.  Most weeks I can coast, doing stuff I'm great at, rockin' it - - these last two weeks I've been working on some proposals that are kicking my ass and are requiring me to think and stress.  Boo.  But good for business and hopefully there will be a bonus at the end of the tunnel.
  • Not too much to report, except we had a family pumpkin patchin' day...took DD for swim lessons and thought we may have used them and had to build an ark. Jeez, it rained last night.

  • I don't mind soccer because everyone runs around and it wears them out. It's picture day and raining. I took a picture before they left and now I have to wait to see the afters.
    • DK and I are celebrating our 8th anniversary, today.
    • I've had a couple of migraines, recently. I worked from home yesterday because I was dizzy every time i got out of bed. I'm wondering if it's the change in the weather, or the lack of formal workouts in the last 2 weeks, or if i'm just getting some sort of bug.
    • My 6 month DietBet ends in just over a week, and I am on target to win. I'm going to sign up for another one after this ends, as it seems to have worked well as a motivator. (I've lost ~25/26lbs since April)
    • I'm also considering doing the 21 day fix in conjunction with the new DB - will be a good way to stay on track, and break out of the plateau.
  • Everything but the migraine sounds awesome Barbie.

I think I need to just accept that this is my body unless I'm willing to start getting drastic.  45 mins cardio 3 times a week and 2 days of lifting just doesn't seem to be making a difference.  I'm changing my attitude to "work outs are to stay healthy."

  • Barbie, I really like 21 Day Fix, especially the meal plan. There are a few workouts I don't love but it's fine.

DS is still sick, but much better so he's sitting in my office at home watching a movie. I am so tired today. I got a decent night's sleep but I think the overall lack of sleep in the past week is catching up with me. I have about a million things to do this week in regards to the house, and it's making me stressed. But in good news, I don't have to travel to PA at the end of the month for work.
  • Had my NT scan this morning. Baby looks good and was wiggly. Only hitch - they were running 30 minutes behind. I was DYING I had to pee so badly.

My mother is pissing me off to no end.
