Ikea 1'x1' Lack Shelves Are the Devil *Rant*

They don't have brackets like the longer ones, so they're basically impossible to mount properly. What a waste of an afternoon. And FI is pretty much useless when it comes to anything involving tools, so I got to be frustrated for several hours while he watched football.

What's annoying you guys right now?

FI bought a sweatshirt when we went on our pre-engagement beach roadtrip this summer, and we can't find it!

We searched his apartment this evening and he really doesn't keep much stuff at my place, so I can't imagine where it went!

He doesn't actually have very many clothes (he has one dresser, with empty drawers, in his place!) and it's driving me crazy wondering about it!

I'm trying to clean my floors and every time I mop a room my dog goes and lays on the floor that I just mopped. Argh.

@steph861 I feel your pain. I have a lack shelf sitting in the storage room right now because I couldn't get it mounted right.

Oh no! IKEA is the best and the worst. We bought a bed frame from them and once getting to the last step, realized the crucial last piece was missing. We went back to the store (30 mins away) and they looked at us like we were crazy "Oh, that doesn't come with it, you have to buy it separately, didn't you know?" Ummm..NO, because it wasn't in the instructions and nobody told us since the point of the freakin store is self-serve! Was a long day.

Hmm what's annoying me right now is myself- I got back from vacation last week and was super jetlagged, which threw off my workout schedule and made me too lazy to clean the apartment. Soo a week later and I'm still sleeping funny, have the messiest place and have nothing to wear to work tomorrow bc of all the laundry I need to do. It's my own fault!

I painted my nails, then carefully picked up my fleece blanket, and noticed that all the black dog fur on that blanket magnetized to my nail polish and now I have dog fur on my nails time to redo!

I miss my DH. He's gone working, again.

That my football team sucks and I have a cold from allergies and crying (rough week) that obviously somehow got stuck in my sinuses. Oh and that I'm in the midst of paying $25 for a small pizza but I'm too tired to really care about the fact that that's a total rip-off.

PS. Ikea is the worst. I always have leftover parts but I just pretend they just gave me extras. Because of this, I try to avoid buying things that require being structurally sound.

Take a picture of your nails and slap it up on pinterest. Call it "furry nail art" and create a new trend!

I have another rant.. I'm too emotional. I texted DH to tell him I'm waiting up for him and want to have sex tonight, and he said no he's too tired and it will be another 2 hours before he's home. I'm upset because I never see him and I hate to be turned down by him. Even though I know he's really tired..

We both work tomorrow and the next day so I won't get to see him for the next 48 hours either.. So bummed. This is not what newlywed life is supposed to be like: lonely and sexless.

I'm gonna go back to reading Gone with the Wind now and hide under my blankets.

I feel for you. FI and I both work shiftwork and we're on opposite shifts for the next 4 days. He's asleep when I get home and I'm asleep when he leaves for work and I leave for work an hour before he gets home... ships passing in the night and all that jazz. It does make it all the sweeter when we do get a day off together though because we've been looking forward to it all week.
