Waaaaaaaaaaah

It's my last day in the office before I leave for the wedding on Saturday, and I keep making stupid mistakes at work. Obviously, my mind is elsewhere right now. I feel awful and know that I look like an idiot.

Please tell me I'm not the only person to turn into an idiot at work right before the wedding!

Re: Waaaaaaaaaaah

  • What is this thing you call work before a wedding?

I think I got *maybe* 3 things done at work the week of my wedding.

  • You're not! My last few days at work before the wedding I was doing the same thing. Any time I had to go into the lab to do virus work I had to give myself a "stay focused" pep talk because I can't risk lab mistakes.

  • I got married on a Saturday and took Thursday and Friday off from work. I was great Monday and Tuesday, utterly useless on Wednesday.

People kept making comments about me having bridal brain. It pissed me off but by Wednesday it was a great excuse.

  • I was OK up until Thursday, my last day. I couldn't focus on anything work related at all.
  • I'm not married yet, but I feel you. I turned in my two weeks notice last week, I'm done on Friday. I don't know what I managed to accomplish today... but it's not much! I can't focus or anything because all I want is to just be done.

  • I was in the office until the Wednesday before my wedding and logged in from home periodically on Thursday (Friday was a holiday). Totally got my shit done and was on point because I had to be. No one else picks up my slack when something gets missed or done wrong. Then I went right back to work on Monday because none of the other key-holders were going to be there.

I might be a little crazy...

  • I was the same way.  I did not think I was totally "not there" but when I had to reconcile our accounts to do taxes at the end of the year our numbers were off... Going thought it,  I noticed a lot of things missing end of May/Early June. We got married June 7th.  Whoops.  No harm no foul since I filed it, just did not enter in the computer so it was an easy fix and my BIL is our accountant so he just laughed when we noticed where the discrepancy was from.  Every bride gets a pass that week (for the most part) :)

  • I was all over the place!  You aren't the only one.  I kept forgetting the lamest things that I do all the time and not remembering stuff people told me 2 minutes before.  I blame nerves, excitement, a bit of last minute stress, and what we've dubbed over on my Month board "Bride Brain".
