Shoe/bouquet advice! please! Light gold dress... I'm lost!

Hello everyone! 

I recently purchased my wedding dress (YAYAYA!) which can be seen here: http://www.sotteroandmidgley.com/dress.aspx?style=4SS057 

It is a light gold gown with an ivory lace overlay. It is very light gold as you can see in the photo (the bottom of the dress), and I am having a really tough time trying to figure out what colour of shoes I should wear. Should I wear ivory because of the overlay? Try to match the light gold? Or should I go with a dusty rose?

While I am at it... we are having a modern vintage wedding in the Spring so any assistance with bouquet colour suggestions would also be appreciated!

You can really wear whatever color shoe you want, your shoes really will not show much.  I would pick a shoe that is comfortable and you'll wear again.  The dress is a neutral and the colors you listed are all pretty basic colors.

Wear whatever you want. Personally, I hate typical white/ivory bridal shoes so I wore aqua that matched my BM dresses. They didn't show while I was walking, but we took some seated pics where you can see them and I like that I'll get to wear them again and know they're my wedding shoes.

You could do just a gold shoe, but don't worry about matching that gold specifically. It'll drive you crazy, and purposeful contrast usually looks better than ALMOST matching but not quite.

Something like this would be gorgeous (with any of those dresses, since I don't know which specifically is yours but I know the light gold/ivory you're talking about). <clicky>

ETA these were the pics I gave my florist for a sort of "vintage-y" color idea...(the dress in the background of the second pic is what my BMs wore)

Light gold and ivory match a lot of different colors. It would be hard to go wrong here. I agree with lolo, don't try to perfectly match. Maybe get a swatch from your dress or go to the fabric store and get a swatch in a similar color. Take it shopping with you and hold it up next to all kinds of different colors.

I have a dress just like that, but it's Symphony Bridal. I bought ivory shoes to go with mine, but I think dusty rose shoes sounds beautiful! You can pretty much go with whatever you want with this dress.

I think you could easily go with a light gold, ivory, dusty rose, or even nude shoe. I really like some of the images PPs shared above. I was on Zappos.com the other day and they have a TON of light gold evening shoes available right now so you should be able to find something easily.

Here are some pictures of my flowers from my recent wedding. I don't really understand modern and vintage going together...they are kind of opposites right? But I do think the color scheme I used would work really well! We stuck with neutrals and textures - dusty miller, pods (like cotton bolls, scabiosa, etc.), sahara roses, light blush pink flowers, etc.

All the colors mentioned above are ok!And you can also try a pair of silver shoes or a color which is similar to the bouquet that you will choose!
