Happy Friday! What's everyone up to this weekend?

Tonight I'm taking spin. Then we have our friends' holiday party at a local restaurant. 

Tomorrow I will be running around like a maniac. Cleaning, decoration, shopping, and thousands of other little things. 

Sunday - MIL's flight gets in around 2pm. She's staying for a week. I have pretty much gotten nothing done for Christmas, and I haven't even purchased her a gift yet. Kill me.

I have some deviled eggs chilling in the fridge for this afternoon's holiday office potluck. Love this time of year.

After work I'm getting my hair did and I'll probably get a manicure and buy some kind of fall coat too. It's been pretty chilly here, chillier than I thought it would be.

Saturday FI's sister is coming to do our engagement/save-the-date photos, and then in the afternoon we have a phone meeting with a potential officiant. At some point over the weekend we'll probably also check out this local historical house that's been decked out for the holidays.

Oh hey Friday, glad you finally got here.

I think tonight I'm going to stay home, do some laundry, clean the house and get stuff organized for our Christmas roadtrip.

Tomorrow I have a dress fitting (remember my thread about the crazy seamstress?) and I may or may not end up taking my dress back and getting it altered elsewhere. Then tomorrow night we have FI's company holiday party. I'm not sure what to expect, and it may be a little awkward since FI is fairly new and doesn't know a lot of people, but hopefully it will be fun. Either way, it's an excuse to get fancy and I'm always down for that.

My MIL graduates from college this weekend so we are driving 2 hour out to her graduation. Excited for her to have made this achievement!

FI and I are heading to NYC at about 5 PM for the weekend.  I usually hate going there for just a weekend because we really only get 1 day and I'm so tired for work on Monday, but I'm really excited this time!  We've never been to NYC at Christmastime together, and we're going to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas at Madison Square Garden.  And then after the show, we'll probably go to a comedy club in the Village like we always do when we go to NYC

Bridesmaid dress shopping!!! And hopefully nothing else because I am having the worst cramps of my life. Like I went from slight headache to radiating back pain that kept me up all night. blah. FI is finally home!

Tonight we are staying in and enjoying having the house to ourselves.

Tomorrow is date day. We are going to breakfast for eggs Benedict and crepes. We will go to the movies, and basically spend the entire day being unproductive. I can't wait.

Sunday is back to reality with grocery shopping and prepping for work Christmas parties and cookie exchanges. Plus the following weekend will be packed since it is my birthday and the first family Christmas of the year.

My grandma canceled our plans today because she's sick, so instead I'll do some Christmas shopping and get my emissions done.  Maybe a little housework. 

Tonight is at-home date night.  A bottle of wine, a movie, and maybe something worthy of a post in the TMI thread

Probably going to watch some of my sister's lax tournament and maybe more shopping with my mom.  This is the last chill weekend we'll have until after the new year, so I'm hoping to just lay low and enjoy the calm before the holiday storm!

Because I'm an idiot and forgot that my license plates expire on my birthday on Monday, I have to drive 2 hours to Pittsburgh tonight after my company Christmas party so I can go to the DMV bright and fucking early tomorrow to get my new driver's license and plates.

Tonight FI and I are laying on the couch and watching movies.

I leave with my BMs tomorrow morning for my Bachelorette trip to a winery a couple of hours away. We're doing a tour a little before lunch and tasting at lunch time. Then we're eating lunch in the bistro. We're staying at a hotel a few miles away and will go there, drink mimosas, and get ready for supper at the super fancy restaurant adjacent from the hotel

Sunday, we'll get home around lunch time and thne I'm decorating at my dad's house.

Happy bachelorette weekend, @emmaaa!  We have a chill weekend planned.  I think we're going to try to find a good place to see lights tonight, and tomorrow night we have a party with some friends from church.  We saw Horrible Bosses 2 last night and it was hilarious!

I was really wondering about Horrible Bosses 2. Usually the sequels for movies like that totally suck.

We liked it!  I loved the first one, though.  I don't think it was as good as the first, but it's pretty darn funny.  And Chris Pine is in it, whom I love!

Tonight my best friend's FI's band is playing a show in NYC (they are awesome, so fun, a bunch of my guy friends are in it and I've had to miss their last several shows) so we are going to get drunk because I had a traumatizing night last night.

Tomorrow I'm going shopping for my bridesmaid dress for that friends wedding!  They look super pretty (it's 3 styles we can choose from) so I"m excited!  Then it's my family's annual Chanukkah party!

Sunday FI and I are having a day just for us, haven't had one in a LONG time.  We are thinking of doing brunch and then checking out the Cloisters!

Today is my work holiday party - they do a lunch so they don't have to pay for +1s.  That's okay, I'll be hitting the wine at 11:30 this morning until 2:30 when the party ends!

 

Tomorrow FI and I are going to see The Nutcracker.  He's never been to the ballet, so I'm curious as to what he'll think about it.  He's a really good sport (his ex-wife used to spend ALLLLLL the monies so they never got to do anything, so he'll go to pretty much everything I suggest). 

 

Sunday maybe I'll pick up the last things for Christmas gifts.  Nice to be almost done!

I'm baking gingerbread and sugar cookies for a local historic tour of homes in our community tonight, and will be helping host one of the houses Saturday and Sunday.  Sunday night I will probably work on getting my Christmas cards out.

Also am hosting a holiday party at a friend's house (my apt is too small) so I have to shop and will be cooking all day tomorrow.

Then Sunday I'm packing to go home for Christmas and my wedding!! Only 15 days!

I'm going to brave Christmas shopping. My sister and I both hate crowds and it's become a tradition to go hate it together to keep each other sane. We like to procrastinate too and put the hammer down with less than two weeks to go. Blah. 

I just can't get into Christmas this year.

This all sounds fun! I'm doing nothing! Yay! My semester just ended so V and I are going to be lazy. I think we will get our grades on the 16th but I'm not sure. So today, we are going to be lazy and most likely clean up. Our apartment is a mess due to finals.

Saturday, my mom is coming so we will get lunch with her. I'm going to get back into my routine of yoga now and I'm excited. Other than that I'm not sure. Maybe we will go to a museum since I have free passes since I volunteered there.

Sunday, no idea. I'll most likely work out and be lazy again. I'll need this time off. Next semester I'm taking 18 credits and working a lot. I have to make up for lost time. I also have to take two random classes to graduate. I need a 120 hours and even by taking all of my classes I come up with 113. When I asked the person who is in charge degrees for science people she said those are "free electives" and they want me to be "well rounded". No you just want my money grrr.

All my friends who are soul cycle obsessed bring their own seats.  I couldn't do it, my vagina felt bruised for days.

Saturday we have a dinner party at a friend's house.

Sunday we're doing lunch with some friends. Then we're doing Christmas with my family since we're traveling to H's family for actual Christmas.

Tonight I am tackling the laundry and attempting to de-clutter some more. Basically until I pass out.

Tomorrow, I am going to get the paint for my kitchen and mudroom in the bougie-ass color choices I've picked out. Both WAAAAY lighter than the colors of the items, but I want to get the same tone of green as the lighter shade of Le Creuset fennel for the kitchen, and the nice rich orange that Hermes uses on their boxes for the mudroom.

I gotta measure and do schematics for the lower half of my kitchen so I can start tracing it out on the wainscoting and get some of that cut. That'll be Sunday's task. Plus finishing sanding the mudroom walls and putting up painters tape in there and in the kitchen.

I was going to go skiing.  But it hasn't snowed since Nov 26th and it's been on the warmer side during the day.   I'm not going to waste a ski pass on crappy snow.   Now I'm not sure.  I guess I will go look for a gift for  DH, maybe take Chef up to Aspen?    IDK?

 DH is working all weekend.   I will be watching the Eagles-Cowboys game on Sunday night.    That's all I've got.

Since I'm home today, I am planning on continuing my never-ending bloody mary and cuddling with H. There is talk of Thai takeout for dinner/lunch.

 

Tomorrow is supposed to be a busy day. I finish up my training for the volunteer program I am in and then I have an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed. Tomorrow night we are supposed to go to game night at my cousin's house. One of my best friends met him at our wedding and they have been dating ever since, so she will be there. I am excited to see her. All of this (besides the volunteering) is dependant on how I am feeling.

 

Sunday is a cookie baking party at my other cousin's house. All the women in the immediate family will be there. It should be fun. There will be booze.
