Weirdly specific shopping post: sheer black tights

Does anybody wear sheer black tights on a regular basis?  I really like the look they give me at work but I haven't found a durable brand so far.  I probably wear sheer tights three days a week and they take a beating from shoes, boots, rubbing up against my bag when I sit on the subway, etc.

I have a few things in my Amazon cart right now: Pretty Polly 10 Denier Simply Sheers, CK Matte Sheer 20 Denier, and thinking about adding Hanes Silk Reflections.  Anybody have a favorite sheer tights brand?

Also, all of this comparison shopping is really making me jones for a pair of pretty, back-seam tights.  Obviously not work appropriate but they're just so gorgeous.

TJMaxx has a TON of tights right now. I bought 2 pairs of fleece-lined footless tights today ($5 each, woot!) but I'm sure they have sheer ones too. I've had good luck at H&M too.

Mmmmm fleece tights.  I have a pair of fleecy ones in my Amazon cart, too.  I basically never wear pants at work so on really cold days, fleece tights are going to be awesome.

I am of no great use but I am following. I wear socks under my boots when I wear tights or sheer hose which helps. So I have never had a footwear snag problem. I find I am more likely to snag when my nails aren't done or I'm wearing snaggy bracelets so I'm more careful in those instances. But I also live in CA where tights/hose are not ever really necessary except for fashion purposes so I think I tend to wear mine far less often.

@lc07 look up BooTights on Amazon. They're tights with socks built in so they're more comfortable in boots and don't snag on your toenails.

That's cool! I have never heard of that. I meant fingernail snags, though. My toes have never snagged. But built in socks are awesome because I can never find clean socks.

I wear them a LOT in the winter (sheer, not so sheer, and gray not so sheer ones).  I've found the best deals at Nordstrom Rack; the Nordstrom brand is, I think, $4.97 per pair.  They are also really good about returns (I haven't tried to return any, but if I did rip them on first wear, I'm sure they would take them back).  I always wear socks with boots-if its an ankle boot, ankle socks obviously, but I've also worn the little hidden socks that I wear with flats in the summer for some extra padding.

It seems to me that all tights snag unless they are like fabric. I stick to lots of cheap tights rather than equally durable expensive tights.
