I read some breaking news that people are being held hostage in a cafe with their hands held up against the windows. No mention of who or what group is holding hostage, but it is so chilling to hear and I'm praying for the safety of these people. If it's ISIS, they recently decapitated children for refusing to switch from Christianity. So scary..

    SO far it is one gunman and the group and they are holding up signs that are affiliated with ISIS. Isis is the just a disgusting organization :(

    I don't think it's actually been determined if this is ISIS or not. Every source I've seen/heard says the flag being held up is a black flag with Arabic writing on it that wasn't specifically affiliated with any specific group.

    Praying for that situation!

    I read saying that the gunman was "asking" for an ISIS flag. He was holding a black on with Arabicscript. It almost sounds like a wanna-be ISIS member to me, IDK. They also haven't deemed it a terrorist attack, yet. 

    Nevertheless, it is a scary and sad situation. I hope for the best outcome.

    Oh an d I heard 5 hostages escaped?

    Ts&Ps for this kind of violence everywhere. Unfortunately, there's much worse stuff going on right now and this hostage is just what the media has chosen to cover this week. Sad situations all around.

    CNN has pretty detailed coverage of this, at least on their website. 

    5 people escaped so far but the police aren't saying for sure how many people are still inside. They've been in there for over 12 hours. And no, they haven't confirmed that the gunman (so far they only know of one) is affiliated with ISIS in any way, but he has asked to speak to the PM via phone and he has asked for an ISIS flag. 

    Such a terrifying situation for the hostages and their families :( I'm really hoping they all make it out alive.
