Your Monday afternoon creep-out

So a friend posted this link on FB. Tl;dr this is a video created by CNN when they first started in 1980. It is intended to be the last thing they will ever air, and since CNN has vowed to stay on the air until the world ends, this is literally intended to be shown at the end of the world.

Amazing how such an assuming clip can be so eerie in the right context, isn't it?

I'm a huge chicken, but that little creepiness every once in awhile gives me a nice adrenaline jolt. Anyone else?

  • That totally creeped me out.
  • Isn't that the same song that played as the Titanic went down?

Yeah, it actually mentions that in the article.

I love weird shit like this. I wonder if he had a certain way he thought the world would  end.

  • Also, I'm one of those assholes who's super skeptical about everything. I just googled this and the only resources reporting on it are blogs and other not-exactly-legit sites, and supposedly this video was "leaked by a former intern" which I never believe, because every "secret" video ever was "leaked by a former intern".
It was also reported back in 2009 that CNN was telling people that the world would end in 2012, so...

This is definitely really chilling in its context but I also doubt that it's legit. But also I'll pretend it's legit cuz I like creepy stuff like this.

  • Am I crazy or is there no link here????

I think this video is so interesting, but the freaking alert at about 5:30 is the creepiest thing ever. I would poop my pants if that popped on the TV.
