Budget Wedding In NY

Hi guys, I'm recently engaged and have no idea where to begin. I figured the 1st thing is to find a venue that fits my budget and work everything else around that. I have a $5000 budget, I would love to have a park or garden wedding which i'm finding out is very hard to do in NY on a budget. Does anyone know of any places in Long island, or NYC area that could possibly help me????

I was pretty much the same place as you. Here are a few places I found and you may like:

Brooklyn Botanical Garden:

The ceremony will have to be a 'stand-up' ceremony, no chairs are allowed AND no option if it rains *bummer*


Queens Botanical Garden:

$750 includes:

• One hour in the Wedding Garden for ceremony and photographs

• One hour in the Main Garden for photographs

• One hour of weekday rehearsal time -- must be scheduled in advance (we suggest one or two weeks before the ceremony)

• Use of an indoor facility if it rains (Very Important PLUS!)

QBG provides seating for up to 20 guests.  Additional seating is available at $2.00/chair, up to 60 chairs. ( + $120)
******* PLEASE NOTE: I found out there is some construction being done at the Queens Botanical Garden this year (which should be done soon, so check it out BEFORE you book them)
