    Or, if you are like me, you can ask what your S/O would do if a serial killer broke in the window and demanded him to cut off both my feet and eat them or else they will murder him. 

    FI said he would cut my feet off and eat them and then take care of me forever. He said he would do everything he could to knock me out first.

    I have lots of scenarios like this, if you guys want. I should write a better marriage counseling book. The one I'm reading just talks about kids and money and stuff.

    But, really, this is a super interesting article. I thought about this sort of thing a lot in my late 20s: can you create a genuine sense of love and belonging in a relationship with a partner you know to be good for you, even if (s)he's maybe not the sort of partner you're typically drawn to? What's good for you and what's attractive to you aren't always (or, depending on the person, often aren't) the same thing.
