Did you buy your fiance/husband's wedding band?

We've been wedding band shopping. I'm astonished by what a huge difference the material makes in the price of a men's band (compared with a women's band). I guess it's because they are much larger and therefore use a ton of metal. We priced out very similar rings for him 6mm with brushed matte surface in platinum ($1700), white gold ($900), and titanium ($90). I'm getting a plain 2mm platinum band for $340.

ETA: yeah our finances are essentially merged at this point, so it doesn't really matter who pays for them

I bought H's ring. It's one of those gold plated tungsten the One Rings, he like, never wears it. Not a big jewelry guy.

I had a local jeweler create a custom band to fit with my e-ring (which was made by a friend), it went on our "joint" card (read, paid by H's income) so while he bought it he didn't see it until it was done.
