Some of my bridesmaids went and ordered their bridesmaid dresses from another store...

I sent all of my bridesmaids pictures of the bridesmaid dresses I chose for them to wear and some of them decided to go and order it from somewhere else, they also measured themselves... This was a month after I specified where I would like for all of the girls to go to order it from... what do I do now?

Um, nothing? Why does it matter where they ordered them from as long as they show up in the right dress?

Note: if the store told you they need to be ordered together to be cut from that same dye lot and match each other, that is not really a valid concern in the days of digital dying. It's just a strongarm sales tactic.

Did they order the correct dress?  If so, then why the hell does it matter that they went through a different store?

ETA:  As to what you do now?  Well you be happy that they ordered their dresses and check that off your list.  Have a margarita to celebrate.

It's the same dress, right? If so, you tell them, "great! glad it's ordered."

ETA - if you're worried about the dye lot (some stores will tell you this is a thing), stop worrying. This is all done by computers now and the margin of error is extremely low. Most of the time, a sales person in a store will tell you all the dresses need to be ordered through one store because dye lot. False - they're trying to make a sale. Don't worry about it.

ETA: I'm curious though, what's the "rule" on this? I personally think the BMs should be able to purchase wherever they want as long as it's the right dress, but I'm not sure if that's the majority opinion. What do you ladies say?

THOSE BITCHES. Burn the dresses and make them get new ones. Be sure you supervise their purchase. Perhaps you should pick each one up individually, escort them to the bridal salon that you've chosen then immediately snatch their credit card so they don't play the "Oh, I forgot my card!" game. THESE DRESSES ARE IMPORTANT. THIS IS YOUR DAY. 

Take them to the salon, walk them into the store, get them into their underwear as to get the closest fit and most perfect measurements possible. Then make the purchase yourself. Only at that time, return them their card, drive them home and wait for the phone to ring when the dresses are delivered. And don't EVER. EVER. trust those no good ladies of the night to do anything for you!

Hell. You should kick them all out of your bridal party and start over. It's clear they don't care about you.

As long as it's the right dress, they can buy it wherever they want. If they buy it from the exact boutique, fine. If they want to buy it on eBay, fine.

If they were able to find the dress cheaper somewhere else or it was more convenient to order where they did, what is the problem here?  As long as they have the dress you have NO problems here.

The BMs should be able to buy the dress from wherever they want.  As long as they get the dress that is picked it should not matter where they purchased it from.

The BMs should be able to buy the dress from wherever they want.  As long as they get the dress that is picked it should not matter where they purchased it from.

Agree with this. Why not let them shop around for a better price? Why not let them go to the store that's closer to their house? Or let them find a bargain online? If it's the right dress, it's the right dress.
