So, I am in the process of planning my wedding. This both my fiance, and my second wedding.
My first wedding, was a big wedding, the "traditional" wedding, but it was to the wrong man. I was 19 and pregnant, and I never should have got married that young.. ANYWAYS...
I don't remember anything about my wedding other than the fact that I was stressed the whole day. I also remember having no time with my ex husband, it was all about the schedule, and there wasn't any time for ourselves to enjoy the day that was supposed to be about us. I also have realized that weddings are basically a day where you pay for all your friends and family to enjoy YOUR day..
So with that said, my fiance said he wants to do something that's specail for me and him. He said he wants it to be about our love and not a show for everyone else to see.
We found a beautiful deal in Pigeon Forge Tennessee (we are in Florida, so I'd love to see some mountains). The deal is $600 for a wedding with 18 people, 1 hr of photography, a cake, and a candlelight ceremony, with a 2 night stay in the honeymoon cabin. That is a heck of a deal that we don't want to pass up.
SO I was thinking of him and I going up there, getting married, having our honeymoon and then when we got back to Florida having a BBQ with family and friends.
How should I go about this? Do you think thats wrong? How do I tell my relatives (my parents totally think its a good idea). Do I send out formal invitations for the BBQ? Do I announce the wedding with it?
