Friday!! Errr, I mean... Wednesday

@swazzle - I have a couple of girlfriends on a trip together in South Africa right now. I didn't even know they were going! But I've been staring at their amazing wildlife pictures on facebook, and y'all are making me super freakin jealous. I hope you have an amazing time! I'll miss you!

@CocoBellaF - When I went to San Francisco I stayed on the water, really near where the trolley route ends. I couldn't recommend it more! There were always vendors and musicians and artists out there, and then I took the trolley uphill to the more hustle/bustle part of town, which made it pretty easy to walk to Haight-Ashbury and such. I didn't do any more public transit than the trolley though. I did a lot of walking. So much that I got blisters, but I also didn't miss anything that way.

I'm wearing my new dress today! With a white blazer and some vintage heels that I can't wear around BF because they make me much taller than him. I've had so many coworkers stop in their tracks to tell me how nice I look. Apparently I typically look like a bum. It's flattering, haha.

I haven't seen anyone talk about Blue Apron recently! I made the Tomato Basil Burgers last night and they were DELICIOUS! The aioli was awesome with it, and I love fresh basil. I highly recommend the recipe. But if anyone else is making it this week, be very conservative with the sauce for the side salad. I only used a third of it and it was probably twice as much as it needed.

BF and I had a very constructive fight last night. We don't fight often, but when we do it often stems from the same kind of beginning. We finally talked about the reason they start, but I was proud that neither of us walked away during the heat. We finished the fight, got our points across, spoke to how we understood where the other person was coming from, and then talked about how we can recognize the triggers in the future and try to avoid them. You'd think I wouldn't be happy we fought, but I am.

Also, I finished The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt in two days. And I cannot get the theme song out of my head.

@AlPacina - I skipped this week and next week and I'm irrationally bummed out about it. The meals looked really good, I was especially looking forward to the shrimp and grits!

@AlPacina I had a free week of BA this week and loved it (mostly)! Monday night we had Seared Cod with some sort of pasta and it was NOMS! And then Tuesday night we had Rigatoni Puttanesca which was even better and it even had olives in it and I HATE olives but I LOVED the rigatoni! Last night was Tandoori Chicken and Lentils. It had all the ingredients and Indian spices I love but it was just meh. H and I agreed that it wasn't our favorite, it wasn't terrible, but the whole thing was kind of eh at the end.

@Swazzle I seriously debated a second week of BA JUST for the shrimp and grits!

My mom is out of surgery - all good, no ulcers. I had a mini freak out because I wasn't getting responses from anyone all day.

P&R because TK sucks with keeping me logged in/letting me log in at all.

I have like 0 things to report because I lead a very interesting and exciting life that involves work, gym, dinner, and knitting while watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix. Be jealous.

Also, a lot of wedding talk has happened this week (not initiated by me! lol a rarity up to this point), and it's making me 1. realize how much nitty gritty stuff I still need to do and 2. feel like my wedding is tomorrow. I keep getting random butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it... 2 months feels like forever. Boo.

I have major wanderlust right now. I really want to book a vacation for next spring, especially since we have a ton of miles through American Airlines, but we need to wait and see what happens with FI's job. I have a list a mile long of vacations I'm dying to take, but I have to be a responsible adult and wait.  

All right, time to go run a quick errand and do some chores around the house. If I'm still logged in when I get back, I'll try to respond to everyone. Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

I'm going to give participating in the discussions a shot. I sometime lurk here on and off and I find this board to be very amusing. I just have a hard time getting in the groove of posting, but I'm going to give it a go:) I did the introduction thread a while ago but I know the best way to get involved is to just start posting.

@swazzle Have so much fun on your trip! Are you going on a safari? Have you seen the youtube video of the lion opening the car door with its mouth? If you do go..Lock your doors!

@southernpeach89 You definitely sound like you are on top of things getting ready for the baby. i might have to get some recommendations for you for strolls/car seats. I am newly pregnant

@cocobellaf You are not alone in the crying hangover. If I get a really good cry going a get a terrible headache the next day.
@keptinstitches why did your mom care if you went to your HS reunion or not? Mine will be this year and I'm debating going. A part of me wants to go just to prove to myself that I can be a more confident person now then I was in HS.
@Speakeasy14 Happy Home-aversary! I'm not even sure when ours is. I think it will be three years this January.

@jenjen047 Congratulations on the job offer. Even if its not the job you want it always feels good to be wanted   unfortunately it doesn't seem like you will be able to help your friend because she is not ready to help herself.
@miniskat30 I'm glad your puppy is okay. I know the few times mine have managed to escape have been terrifying. Hopefully Someone wasn't really throwing rocks, that is awful
@speakeasy14 how horrible! something very similar just happened to a coworker of mine whose mom has dimentia. They broke in when she was in the backyard.
@MissKittyDanger I am always hurting myself. And frozen veggies do work best!
@beachyone15 I remember one summer when I was a kid we had a toad who lived on/near our front porch. I named him and talked to him.
@AlPacina I actually just got a groupon for bluapron. I think I get it next week. I'm not sure how often I'll do it. It's a little pricey for me, but I'm excited to try it!
@eilis1228 your post makes me want to re-watch gilmore girls, I re-watch it at least every 1-2 years. Never gets old!

I tried to respond to everyone! Yesterday I went grocery shopping and we grabbed subway for dinner. Then we  watched an episode of this show my husband's been watching on Hulu called Bullshit. It's funny/informative. Tonight I'm going to make something quick for dinner and the head over to my friends house to help her with some wedding crafts. She's getting married next month and slightly freaking out about everything she has left to do.

Thanks @southernpeach89! I'm one of the first one of my friends to be pregnant and I feel like there is so much to know! Once you get to use your stroller and carseat you will have to report back how you like them. I haven't done any serious research yet but I know I want a stroller that can handle a little bit of trail/terrain because there are paths by my house I walk all the time.

@Jstump2 Oh definitely! I got the Graco performance jogger stroller which is made for rough terrain and of course jogging and such. I'll let you know how it works out. I won't be jogging with it right away but we put it together last night and it was all really cool. I really like it so far.

Today IS my friday... for my four day weekend from my regs job lol. I am SO GLAD I don't have to be there for a few days and get to spend THE WHOLE TIME with dogs. It's gonna be awesome and probably hectic because I've never done anything like this before. I'm basically taking over all training and walking appointments from my friend while she goes away for the rest of the week. I am excited because it is my dream, and also because I am using paid vacation hours from Starbucks, plus getting paid for the work I'm doing so I'll have extra money to pay bills with :P

My roommate has FINALLY started cooperating with the dog thing. I haven't cleaned up after her dog all week because she's been leaving him in the crate during the day while nobody is home. It's SO nice and I feel good about getting my own dog now. Spring/Summer 2016 we will have a new puppy!

Other than all that, not much is new these last couple weeks. Hopefully I'll have more time to post after today, I miss you all!
