HELP! Wedding for under 100 per person (fees included) in NJ?!

Hi everyone!

I recently got engaged about a month ago and have already started the exciting/stressful/crazy wedding planning. I currently live in NC (having just moved this summer from NJ). My fiance and I need to have our wedding in NJ, as it is where literally all of our friends and family are. I have e-mailed 30+ places in hopes of finding a venue that accommodates an outdoor ceremony/indoor reception for approximately 175 people (trying very hard to cut this list down but family is taking over) that won't break the bank. Does anyone have any idea where we can have our wedding for under $15,000? Our budget is set at $20,000 max but the lower the better to be honest. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

I would post this on the local NJ boards.   This is an international board, so you might not get a lot of traffic.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Also NJ is a big state.  What section?  South Jersey?  I can offer some suggestions in that price point.  In general, you will have a better chance at within that budget if you can marry in South Jersey.

Thank you! This is all new to me-where can I find the NJ boards?

My fiance is from Keansburg and I am from Woodbridge-we would like anything that is about an hour away from those 2 locations-not picky with North or South really.

I'm not too familiar with any places in that general area.  I know more facilities in the Philly area, which is probably farther than you want to plan.  But generally, the farther south you can plan, the cheaper your pp price can be.

I also URGE YOU to lurk on the NJ boards before posting this question. I promise this exact question has been answered a bunch of times, even in the last month, so you don't need to repost it. I replied to someone else's with a pretty long list of places. My guest list is way smaller than yours, but I was looking in that price range, so hopefully that can help you.

I have also been looking in NJ and I got quite a few quotes but it depends on the type of venue your looking for. Also Fridays and Sundays seem to be a lower cost. Try the Grand Marquis they can work with your budget. Hotels are good prices and most of them comp you a room for the night.
