  • I can use it.  We're putting together a pageant talent number and after awhile, the songs all start to sound the same and I can't think of anymore.  I know other people will have other things, so figured this was a good spot to get random things I wouldn't think of.
  • oh god!  Some of those are definitely not pageant material :)  haha.  good luck!
  • Wonderful - Adam Ant
Love & Happiness - Al Green
Beyond the Sea - Bobby Darin
The Stone - Dave Matthews Band
    #41 - Dave Matthews Band

Lover, You Should Have Come Over - Jeff Buckley
    Deacon Blues - Steely Dan
    Repo Man - Ray LaMontagne

    I could keep going....
  • Well....it's a drag pageant, so risque is not necessarily a problem.  B/c I'm advocating for "Twerkin' in the Rain" myself:

  • kings, queens or both?
  • The pageant itself is both; I'm helping a king.
  • Oh the places this thread could have gone and instead everyone just answered the question.  *lesigh*

    2.  My Perogative - Bobby Brown
    3.  Pony - Ginuwine
    4.  I Need Love or Doin It - LL Cool J

  • what type of character/persona? i.e. if the person is more "thug" you're not going to have them doing a Bruno Mars number.

Right now, I'm just trying to think of different song combos, b/c he wants to do a sort of slow/fast combo.  So far all we've come up with he hasn't liked, so now I'm just trying to think of other songs to start putting together and outside of our own musical tastes.  There are some things up there I hadn't thought about at all, thanks ladies.

He really likes "Bang Bang" by Will.I.Am.  I suggested using a male cover of "Bang Bang (She Shot Me Down)" as a lead-in, but he's afraid it'll read as too cheesy for the judges.  So we're kinda back to square one.

  • The Entertainer by Billy Joel (and could pair well with other Billy Joel songs for the slow song, maybe Piano Man?)

Let's Dance /Dancing in the Streets or Dance Magic Dance by Bowie (and Jagger)-plus he could dress as the Goblin King!

And now I'm going to go watch Labyrinth:)

Could you find a male cover of "Hit me with your best shot" to mix in?
  • Yeah! by Usher is my jam.
