Is it worth it to get a ring in the diamond district? Do you really save a lot of money?

I know a few people who got their rings in the diamond district but they knew people, so I am thinking that is why it was so cheap for them. Do you really save a lot of money by going to the diamond district and are the people good there or shady?

some are good. i can't say all for sure.
your best best is to shop around. it surely helps to get a recommendation.

I got mine at Fragments in NYC. LOVED it. Different jewelers and their styles, very unique. I would say fair to slightly high (1,200)
