Debate Day Tuesday

Re: Debate Day Tuesday

  • Yes, I didn't!  What do Canadian citizens that live in other countries do?
Not vote as far as I know.
General sense I THINK is voting here is for citizens who live here.
So I’m going to admit, when @missJeanLouise said she was mailing in her vote, I realized I didn’t know someone living outside the US could do that! I seriously never even thought of what happens to US citizens who move, even temporarily.  I’m just ignorant about it I guess?
This whole discussion made me curious about the military stationed abroad.  So I asked my H (former Army guy), though his stint was 30 years ago and it might be different now.  They have polling stations on bases, both domestically and internationally.  If they might be "out in the field" on election day, they can drop off an absentee ballot or mail in their ballot.

As JP Sears put it "The real winner of the debate was those who didn't watch it!"...  At this point, no one is going to change their mind, and no one is going to discover the viability of a third party candidate (this state there's reason to vote for the 3rd party to get them access in future elections if they get 5% of the vote)..
