Houston Reception Sites

Hello Houston Brides!  My Fiance and I are still narrowing our list of reception venues and right now I think it's between the Cypress Chateau and the Pelazzio (Omni Palace).  Anyone have experience with one of these two venues that they'd like to share??

    We toured the Cypress Chateau and met with the owner. She was very nice because she let us come see her site while she was preparing for a wedding that evening. The gazebo area was VERY nice and she has kept that place in awesome condition. She was a little pushy at the end of her presentation and kept asking us if we liked it and if we wanted to go ahead and book. The only cons I had was how far away it was (I live in Katy), it was a little tricky to find, and the hall was a little big for us. I thought it was an awesome venue for the price (under 10K for 100 ppl). I so wish we had something like that out in the Katy/Richmond area. We didn't book the CC, but it was in our top 5 :-) I think you would make a great choice if you go with them!

    It's funny that you say that because we just went to the open house at the Chateau yesterday and found them quite pushy! LOL! I'm not sure about how I felt about their DJ either. The plus is that he (the DJ) and the wedding and groom cake are all included in the package.

    Oh I forgot about the DJ! OMG, I thought he was so cheesey when she was telling us about him (we didn't meet him). She told us he will sing and likes to sing to the mothers at the reception. I was like cute, but uh NO! We had to turn the other way when we walked by their booth at the bridal extravaganza. She tried to chase down my mom! LOL

    I am thinking about booking the Chateau also.  It is a little far out but it is very cheap and all inclusive and has a huge menu to choose from.  Latoya- I am thinking about booking for May 15th..lol.  I will let you know.
