Help for Couples Affected by Hurricane Helene

This discussion is for all couples who are currently being impacted by the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. There are many couples who have had to postpone/reschedule their weddings and lost belongings recently - including their special wedding items, décor, and attire - and could use a helping hand and a place to connect with other couples.

Thank you for this post! Supposed to get married at Buncombe County Courthouse Oct 11th and stay in a tree house in Old Fort, NC Oct 10 - 12. Looking for charming alternatives near home in Huntersville, NC. Any help is welcome!

I’m writing to ask if there might be any financial assistance or support available in light of our recent wedding cancellation. Our wedding was originally scheduled for October 14th in Asheville, North Carolina, but due to the impact of Hurricane Helene, we have had to postpone and relocate the entire event to 2025. We’re still in the process of securing a new venue and date.

This sudden change has placed an enormous financial and emotional strain on us, especially as we are also based in Florida and dealing with the aftermath of the storm here. Our wedding invitations are sadly no longer usable, such as many other minor details we have worked so hard on. If there’s any possibility of a voucher or support for new invitations, or any assistance you can provide, it would mean the world to us as we try to rebuild and move forward.

Thank you for your understanding, and I appreciate any help you may be able to offer during this difficult time.
