Went to see first venue on our list

We went to go see the Magnolia Ballroom off of Franklin and although the place is a historical site it has not been kept up appropriately. The venue itself was to small. The pictures are always decieving on the net! Gosh, I hate that the food was absolutely delicious though. The good thing is that they cater to other facilities as well. Oh well the search continues! We still have another 5 months or so to get a place so no rush. We are looking at The Parador next...maybe Pelazzio also. We will see.

I thought the Magnolia was really creepy. The old pictures they have on the wall are weird. I didn't like the place. The Parador is beautiful but it is in a completly different price range than Magnolia.

We also looked at the Parador, and I think you have to stick to their list of preferred vendors

you may also check out The Tuscany Villa out in Katy if you aren't opposed to the distance. It has that rustic look it sounds like you're looking for. This is where my wedding is at, so if you end up having questions let me know
