Wedding cermeony start time

I've been thinking about the time I have chosen my ceremony to start. I want it to be close to sunset so I chose 7pm. The sun sets on my wedding day at 7:50. But now I worry about my guests starving! We are doing a full meal buffet at the reception. We are going to have fresh fruit and cheese for people to snack on right after the ceremony.I figure the ceremony will be over at 7:30 and pics will take 30 min to an hour. Do guests not start eating til the bride and groom come back in? Is 7 too late for a ceremony? What do you gals think? I want some really pretty sunset pictures.

i was going to do mine at 7 but changed it to 6 because im doing a cocktail hour (30-45 min) and then dinner would be to late, it would be almost 9 by then. but i dont think 8 is to late to start dinner..

My friend had her wedding at 7 and it was a full Catholic mass and the reception was off site.  We started to eat around 8:45 ... it was fine.  People will firgure it out.  My daughter was the flower girl, so I just fed her before the ceremony so she wouldn't be cranky, we snacked before the wedding as well - no big deal!
