FI plays the drums and I am going to surprise him by having the groom's cake made into a stage with a replica drumset on top. I found AMAZING life like miniature drum sets online, but I can't decide what color to use. My colors are aqua and white with hints of pink. Those are cute!  I personally do not think that the set has to match the wedding day colors. Grooms cakes usually don't, so I would go with the all black.

jmo, I thought about the black or the kind of ivory natural wood looking one. I couldn't believe it when I found those, I was so excited! I figured all I would find was a cheap plastic one.

Grooms cake doesnt have to match the color scheme of the wedding.  My colors were navy and light pink, grooms cake was Toyota Center replica.

Agree with PP, color doesn't have to match.  I would check and see if the cake person can do the drums with fondant.  That would be cool!

What a fun idea! I love unique groom's cake. I agree with everyone else. You don't have match your colors with the groom's cake. My groom's cake was an Elvis cake with red and gold. Our colors were brown, cream, & teal. I can't wait to see pics of it!

agree with pp, doesn't have to match your wedding colors, a friend of mine actually ordered the drum set as well for the grooms cake
