Texas-Houston

nwr: traffic??

This morning on Fox news they were talking about the worst roads to drive on in Texas. Of course Houston won that award lol. They said something along the lines of 4.3 million hours of delayed traffice time on 45 between the beltway and 610 loop. I drive this route everyday but luckily I go against traffice everytime. Are you in traffic a lot? What part of town do you loathe going to b/c of traffic?http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/traffic/090902_harris_county_texas_congested_roads

I drive what they are talking about. I try to take the Hardy, but it adds up and feels so far!I hate driving the Galleria. Especially San Felipe area.

I live and Katy and take the Westpark Tollway to the Westchase area. It adds up, but is worth it to not ruin my brakes sitting in traffic for hours. I currently hate Westheimer since they are repaving and no one ever knows how to drive. It is a MESS. I hate the I-10/610 area and anything around the Galleria, not too keen on the 6/59 area either. And I seriously hate downtown - it even confused my navigation system!

When my office changed locations I went from driving 3 miles to downtown to now driving 24 miles to Old Town Spring. The commute is exactly the same! I couldn't believe it. I even get home quicker now than I did when I lived 3 miles  from the job. It's crazy to me.

I moved from Dallas about a year ago and although Dallas had their share of traffic issues, I have to say, Houston is wayyyy worse... no offense.  Everyone goes "in-bound" and then everyone goes "outbound" at the same time!  Who designed this?  Craziness...

aww kitten my mom has that same route sometimes it can take her an hour and half. sometimes she can make it in 30. she takes all these weird ways to get there. I will soon have to commute from 249 to 59 sugarland for student teaching. So not looking to the toll road money spent there. I'm hoping since I will be leaving early in the morning it helps.

I don't even get on the freeway to get to work, but my school is 15-20 minutes from where I live with all the stop lights.
