NWR: My Grandpa

okay so this has been really botheting me. I have tried not to let it get to me because I am optimistic. My grandpa has a 12 centimeter aneurism right behind his stomach. It could burst at anytime and he would die within 2 minutes the doctor said. They are coing a catscan and will be doing surgery very soon....it's just at a really bad spot and pretty big.Anyone else ever had experience with aneurisms, big ones??

    fortunately my family has not had to deal with that but that is horrible and I will definitely keep your grandfather in my prayers

    Hey hun, My grandfather has dealt with an aneurism before. This was about 10 years ago and it was in his chest I believe. They performed surgery and it went just fine! I will keep you and your family in my prayers. *sending good vibes*

    Thanks ladies. I am definately trying to be optimistic. My grandpa has always been in great health and we've expected him to live till he is 90-100...it runs in his family so all of this is really unexpected.

    Sorry you are going through all this April. My grandfather passed from an Aneurism we didn't know about. I'm glad that you all are aware so you can take the correct percautions. Good luck and you are in my T&P!

    Aw, I am so sorry Shelly. I am thankful that they found it. I know alot of the times there are no side effects and they never get discovered. I am so mad that the doctors are taking forever...They said they will "look" at his catscan results on Wednesday and then go from there planning surgery....They need to hurrry it up!
