Good Morning Gorgeous Ladies! I am back and I am a Mrs now!! It honestly did not hit me until my hubby sent me and email this morning and greeted me as his mrs. It was too cute. Anyway, to the vendor reviews--Indian Summer Lodge--- we fell in love with this venue the minute we saw it. It is full of wildflowers, bamboo and just gorgeous. The people are wonderful to deal with and it was very affordable. The lodge comes with rectangular tables that you can put together to make sqaure tables, and chairs for up to 70 guests. Also, they provide you with a "suggested vendor list". Which was great because that was how we found our officiant.Master Chef Catering-- Michael was GREAT to deal with. I met him at the BE in Jan and it turned out he was one of the preferred vendors for the ISL. Michael did not let me down. The food was delicious and affordable. We had passed appetizers for cocktail hour and chicken and pork for dinner with mashed potatoes and asparagus as well as a salad for dinner. And it was delicious. We also did the alcohol service through him and it was great that we told him what we wanted and he dealt with the hassle of picking it up and and all that good stuff. The staff was great that night, no complaints. Lotus Rising Designs---Shannon works at the ISL by day and is a wonderful event decorator by night. She provided me with the gorgeous canopy on the lodge room as well as with the round tables, chairs, and round lanterns that were hanging from the ceiling. The lanterns were not as bright of a yellow as I wanted but they were still gorgeous. Shannon was so easy to deal with and just plain wonderful. I love her! Day to Remember- I really wish I had pictures to show ya'll my gorgeous cake and flowers. Claudia was just wonderful to deal with. When I first started looking for my cake people recommended so many great places, but a lot of these places were just out of my budget. Even the panaderia in my mom's hood wanted 3.25 per slice just to start off. So, when I met Claudia and she didn't laugh at my budget I knew we had found the one. Then, we did the tasting and we went home with our own 6 inch cakes... they were all delicous and we had a hard time deciding which to get. We went with vanilla and chocolate marble with banana cream filling and whipped icing. I looved my cake. I can't say that enough. It came out way better than expected and tasted delicious. And I got the best price in town! Flowers Day to Remember--- They did my flowers as well and they were perfect! I changed my mind several times and Claudia was very patient with me. I had yellow calla lilies for my flowers and they were gorgeous. My bouquet was huuuuuge, just like I wanted and had yellow calla lilies, tulips, hydrangeas, and orchids. All a bright yellow. I sooo loved it. Again, they were wonderful to work with and just can't thank her enough for doing a wonderful job on my cake and flowers. DOC Day to Remember---I know a lot of engaged women are curious about getting a Day of Coordinator. Trust me when I say that they are just a God send. Claudia came into to play a little bit later in the planning process so it never is too late to get one. She is extremely knowledgable and truly helped take the stress away on my big day. She was willing to go to any vendor meetings needed and asked the right questions. On the day of, I left my sticky tape at home so my straps were falling, Claudia had safety pins and sticky tape... I went with the safety pins to be safe and tada, it was fixed. Then the broche( sp?) fell off my gorgoues bag and she had velcro and offered to hot glue it as well but I went with the velcro but it did a great job!! Also, our friends gave us a bottle of Dom Perigion (sp?) and we did not have flutes so Claudia sent her assitant, Veronica, to go get them and so we had nice flutes for the toast. Let's face it girls, these women know what they are doing, so I stronly recommend setting some money aside for this. I just can't thank Claudia enough. LG Entertainers--Lewis was my DJ and he was great! He was always very pleasant to deal with and had great customer service. A lot of the Dj's I contacted took a few days to get back but when I contacted Lewis via his site, I got a real reponse they same day! He was great the Day of. They only mishap was that our recessional music was a bit late to play because our officiant did not announce us as husband and wife, she just eneded it at "you may now kiss your bride". No biggie though. Lewis did a wonderful job with the music and everyone seemed to have a great time. Officiant-- Laura Lee was on the suggestions page of the ISL. She was just wonderful to deal with and I will be honest, I was a bit hessitant to contact her at first, because I couldn't find any of her info online. And we all know that a website or reviews at least are important. Anyway, after contacting all these other pastros, reverends, jp judges to get quotes I figured I'd get her quote. My jaw hit the floor when she told me her price. I had to ask her if that was a joke.... get ready ladies.....Laura Lee charged me $100 to be my officiant!!! Yes ma'am, you read that right, oh and how much for the rehearsal? $25. Yep, you read that right, so of course I booked her right away. She was participating in the Tai-Ko festival that was going to be on my wedding weekend and thankfully it was moved up one week so she was able to perform my ceremony. When we met her she said, don't worry about the rehearsal fee, that is my gift to ya'll. So, we loved her even more. She was wonderful and a pleasure to work with. Photographer--- Kelly Niemann Photographers--- Kelly was wonderful to work with and even though I was not happy with my engagement pics (cause my make up was bad and my pants were super baggy) they were good pictures. She was great. Early on, it took a while to get a hold of her regarding our engagement session. But once we got a session date set, and cancelled (due to weather) and then set, and then cancelled (again, the darn weather) we were great after that. I love stalking her blog and just can't wait to see the pictures of our big day. Kelly is wonderful and affordable. Jordan Temple Hair and Make Up---- Krisitna did an amazing job. I am not the best looking girl out there and I hate to toot my own horn but damn I looked on my wedding day...lol... seriously. Kristina made my sisters and my mom look great as well. My 9 year old niece kept saying she wanted her hair done too so I asked Kristina and she did it. I did tip her well, so I hope she's not mad at me for that. Anyway, she did a great job and was exremely pleasant every time we met. I loooove Kristina. Dress--- David's bridal--- I fell in love with my dress and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am a pretty honest person so when the sales girl tried to sell me other things, shoes and what not, I just told her no thanks and that was it. She was not pushy at all. Alterations---Beautiful U---- Eloisa did a wonderful job on my dress. You couldn't even tell that she had actally worked on it. I took it home and tried to see if I could find a lose bead or something, but nope, she is good. They are pricy, but my dress had lace and it trully looked wonderful so I understand the price but please put some money aside for the alterations. Everyone tells you that they are pricy and boy is it true. Umm...I think that's it for now... I'll come back in case I forgot someone. Dang it... I did, the Travel Agent, but I have to work now so I'll be back.
