Wedding colors- help.. Pink & Green with purple, but red carpet?

I'm wanting to have a pink & green themed wedding, with some purple accents, since it is my favorite color. However my reception venue has red carpeting... Will the colors completly clash?  This is what i'm trying to decide-Bridesmaid dresses & bouquets- should I have pink dresses against green with some pink in the bouquet or green dresses with pink bouquets?  I don't think a pink dress & pink bouquet would look stand out as much..centerpieces- I want pink, green & some purple accents in the floralchair covers- I was thinking of having alternating pink & green chair covers (ivory table cloths). Will that be too much?  I could do a white chair cover with alternating pink & green sashes... Or just all pink or all green chair covers?Then there is the red carpet... besides that, the room is mostly windows & a nice size dance floor. Can I just ignore the carpeting in the color scheme?

why not pink chairs covers with a green sash.I think you should do the dresses pink with the green accent. There are some pretty boquets that are green, then you could have some pink in a green boquet...like these but with more pink...[IMG]http://i36.tinypic.com/2vc6h60.jpg[/IMG]

I personally would not alternate chair covers.  Seems too busy for me.  Try pink table cloths with ivory chair covers and green sashes.  If you go to a linen place, you can play around with the combinations.Don't worry about the carpet.  Most ballrooms have ugly carpet.I would do pink dresses with green flowers like hydrangeas, orchids, spider mums, etc.

I think alternating between brightly colored chair covers will not be a good look. I actually think doing pink tablecloths and green chaircovers would look better. I think the key is to keep the look cohesive and pretty, and too many colors all over the place might make it a little bit busy. I like april's idea of doing pink chairs with green sashes too
