Honeymoon Ideas

OK, I have $2500 for the honeymoon. That has to include plan tickets, hotel, and food/drinks (an all -inclusive resort would be ideal).

I would like stay on beach and somewhere we can get around on foot without needing to really leave the resort.

Any ideas?

also look at Riviera Maya, heard great things about that area too...good luck!

How about Sheraton Beach Hotel at Ft Lauderdale?  They have a private beach, depends on how far in advance you book and days of week but might be within your price range. They have boat taxis if you need to go elsewhere

I HIGHLY recommend going with a travel agent.  That's what was suggested to me by the Honeymoons board.  You can tell them what you're looking for and they'll send you various options.  They definitely get you the cheapest prices (and will price match anything better you find), plus ours got us a free room upgrade and a free 50 minute couples massage.  Elise at Beach Bum Vacations was HIGHLY recommended by the board, and I worked with her and she was awesome!  http://www.beachbumvacation.com/Elise.aspx (P.S.  We're going to the Riviera Maya because it's so much cheaper and easier to get there than the Caribbean!)

I think Mexico is probably your cheapest option and has some of the best all-inclusives...look into Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, and Cozumel.

I agree about using a travel agent. They are paid directly by the hotels/airlines so nothing comes out of your pocket. They can find the best deals and work with your budget!

    Or try: http://www.resortvacationstogo.com/

There are so many all-inclusive resorts out there. Good luck!

have you ever thought about going on a cruise? they can be fairly non-expensive. plus everything but the excursions (which you don't even have to do) are included.. and you get to visit multiple places.. I love cruises..

Isla Mujeres, Mexico.  It's an island off of Cancun.  My FI and I went last july for a vacation.  We stayed at a really nice hotel with a jacuzzi on our balcony.  I don't  recall the price but I think it was right around 1000.  The hotel we stayed at was one of the cheaper ones.  I'm sure you could find a nicer one and still be in your budget.

The island is busy during the day because a lot of tourist come over from Cancun.  You can rent mopeds and golf carts to ride around the island.  It was a blast.  During the night it's not as busy and we couldn't find a night life until our last night!!  I wish we would have found it sooner!

If you want to know more about it let me know!
