I have 3 nieces, all of which are going to be flower girls in my upcoming wedding. The oldest of the three will be 9 at the time of the wedding. The other two will be 7 and almost 4. They were all flower girls in my sister's wedding last year and did great.
The problem is that the oldest one wants to be a jr. bridesmaid, which I get. She's getting older and wants to do what the big girls are doing (plus is brother is going to be a groomsman). I want to make her the jr. bridesmaid, but then my fiance would have to find another groomsman or I would have to not ask someone to be a bm. Plus I don't know if the little girls can make it down the aisle by themselves. They are adorable, but the little one is a clean freak and will pick up all the petals and not make it to the end, and the older one has mild autism and a little trouble concentrating.
I want my oldest niece to help the little girls down the aisle, but I'm kind of confused on what to do. I thought of calling her "head flower girl" but I think that still sounds like she's just a flower girl. She wants to be in the wedding so badly and I really want her to be there and be happy. Any suggestions as to what to do, or what to call her so she feels special?
