I am trying to help one of my friends find a venue around the Houston area. her budget is 5k  and she would refer to have an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, and them to be at the same place. any suggestions? Thanks!!

I am having my ceremony at Brady's Landing and they have an outdoor ceremony location and really nice reception rooms. They are right on the ship channel so it provides an interesting backdrop. The people there are nice too.

I got married in Galveston and think that downtown (strand area) would be a great place to celebrate a wedding. We had a huge wedding (300 people) so we used a big venue called the Tremont House (pretty pricey). 

My brother and sister-in-law just opened up a venue called the Bienville Social. It is located a block away from the strand and it is designed for smaller more intimate wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners. It is very well priced and gorgeous!
