Centerpiece HELP!

Hey everyone! I would like to ask your opinions-  I just got my floral estimate today and it is alittle more than I wanted to spend (while staying within the 10K-12K total budget). Most of the cost is in the centerpieces I chose.  Do you think its cheesy if I put my choice centerpieces on every other table and do something alittle more inexpensive on the others?  any ideas you all may have would be great....thanks!

I don't think it's cheesy at all! I've seen really creative and beautiful centerpieces that aren't the typical floral bouquets. And sometimes they're better because they're unique and personal. What's your wedding theme? For a beachy, summer type of wedding I like vases with some sand and shells inside.... for just about any theme: you could take three big vases, all different heights filled with water and floating candles - and to add some color put some color dye in the water - it looks beautiful and ties in the colors of your wedding without flowers. Hope those ideas ideas help! GL!

I don't think it's cheesy at all either. I think it's nice to see different centerpieces as long as they have components that tie them together.

It's definitely not cheesy. Not only is it practical but it will add visual interest. A friend of mine used a mirror lying flat on the table with a large candle in the center with flower petals scattered around as her "inexpensive" centerpiece and it looked very elegant.

TOTALLY fine.  Some people do half tall and half short centerpieces, so why not do half floral and half not?  Just make sure you don't put your fav relatives at the nicer tables and the relatives you don't like at the less expensive ones.  :-)  I know my family would cause a ruckus (sp?) over that!

Not at all! We had 22 tables and felt if we did all tall centerpieces it would be overwhelming so we had tall and small.  I sadly don't even remember my centerpieces it went by in a flash but everyone took them home :)

How about asking your florist if you can do centerpieces in the same colors using less expensive colors? that way you can have flowers on every table.
